A man allegedly died by suicide at Purla village near Parwanoo on Sunday evening after he hanged himself from a ceiling fan with a dupatta in his room. No injury marks or scratches were found on his body during the police inspection.

The man has been identified as Karan, a resident of Purla village in the Sector-3 area of Parwanoo.

During the investigation, it was found that Karan had not returned home since the evening of October 20 and his family members had been searching for him.

At around 3.30 pm, when his family members peeped into his room, Karanwas found hanging from the ceiling fan. He and his wife had reportedly been living separately for the last six months. No suicide note was found from the spot.
