An electrician was electrocuted while working on an 11KV line in Sainj valley of the district today. Gaurav Singh, SP, Kullu, said Ila Ram of Raila village of Sainj was a contractor and was working on a power line between the NHPC Parbati-II power house and the substation at Sainj.

He said the victim fell down from the pole after getting an electric shock and died on the spot. The SP said a case under Sections 336 and 304A of the IPC had been registered at the Bhuntar police station and further investigation was being carried out.
