A man was arrested for allegedly murdering his wife in Rampur Bushahr of Shimla district, the police said here today. The suspect was identified as Sushil (25), a resident of Deothi village in Rampur.

On August 14, the police got information that Anjali, who lives in the Dakolad area of Rampur, had been found dead in her rented accommodation. A police team recovered the body from her house and also collected crucial evidence.

The body was taken to the IGMC, Shimla, for a postmortem. Based upon the preliminary investigation, the police registered a murder case, against her husband and arrested him. SDPO, Rampur, Naresh Sharma said that further investigation was going on.
