A man was apprehended at 3rd IRBn at Pandoh in Mandi district today while trying to take part in the recruitment process for the posts of constable in the Himachal Pradesh Police on a forged admit card.

The card was originally issued to another candidate, who had already participated in the recruitment process. It had been altered with the accused’s credentials.

Mandi SP Sakshi Verma said that the swift identification of the forgery by the police led to the arrest of the individual. A case under Sections 318(4), 336(1), 336(3), and 340 of the BNS had been registered against him at Sadar police station in Mandi.
