Man ‘steals’ Rs 5 lakh from sweet shop
In a shocking incident, a former employee has been accused of stealing Rs 5 lakh in cash from the 125-year-old Nathu Ram Lachman Dass Sweet Shop in Shimla.
The accused has been identified as Yograj, who previously worked at the shop. According to reports, the theft occurred on Sunday when Yograj allegedly sneaked into the premises and stole a box containing the cash.
The incident came to light when the shop’s cashier discovered the missing money and promptly approached the police to file a complaint.
Acting swiftly, the police launched an investigation and have initiated a manhunt to apprehend the accused. CCTV footage from the area is also being reviewed as part of the probe.
