Sanjeev Kumar (45) had reportedly gone to fetch water from a 35 feet deep well. Sources said Sanjeev lost his balance and fell into the well. When he did not return home for a long time, his wife Neelam Kumari (40) went out to check on him and spotted him in the well. While attempting to rescue Sanjeev, Neelam slipped into the well. Sanjeev’s 75-year-old mother Leela Devi went out looking for the couple and found them in the well. Villagers started a rescue after she raised the alarm. By the time, the two were brought out of water they were dead.
