The Vice-Chancellor of Sardar Patel University, Mandi, DD Sharma, has encouraged the heads of colleges to work as a team for raising the standards of education in the state.

A meeting with the principals of the colleges affiliated to the university, located in Mandi, Kullu, Chamba, Kangra and Lahaul-Spiti, was held here yesterday. Sharma presided over the meeting and said that he would wholeheartedly welcome the suggestions from various colleges and institutions and make all efforts to incorporate these for the betterment of education.

Controller of Examination Sunil Kumar Verma also deliberated on various aspects related to the conduct of examinations and encouraged the use of IT in the activities. He also stressed the need for developing student facilitation centres in the institutions for quick redressal of their problems.
