Manvi Thakur was crowned Miss Freshers, while Diksha and Santosh were the first and second runners-up, respectively, during the ‘Nova Aura’ fresher’s party organised at Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya (RKMV) here today.

Tanya won the Miss Talented title, while Ruchika won the Miss Confident title. Seventy-four contestants participated in the event.

The judges, Sukakshna Arya Maitra, Swati and Dr Anupriya, shortlisted seven finalists on the basis of their answers to the question “What are your views on women’s safety and country pride?”

Dr Anju Sharma, member of Staff Public Service Commission, Himachal Pradesh, as the chief guest at the event, praised the talent of the participants.

RKMV Principal Dr Anurita Saxena asked the students to enjoy every moment of their college life, and improve their personality and skills while excelling in studies.
