The 18-member men’s hockey team representing Himachal Pradesh has left for Jhansi to participate in the Men’s National Hockey Games, scheduled from April 4 to 14.

A brief send-off ceremony was held at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Una, attended by Nurpur MLA Ranbir Singh Nikka, who also serves as the president of the Himachal Pradesh Hockey Association, along with Una MLA Satpal Singh Satti, president of the Una District Hockey Association.

Addressing the gathering, Ranbir Singh Nikka extended his best wishes to the team, highlighting the association’s efforts in developing hockey at both junior and senior levels across the state.

Satpal Singh Satti noted that the 10-day coaching camp for the team was successfully conducted at the AstroTurf hockey field in the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Una, before their departure. He expressed confidence in the team’s abilities and hoped they would deliver a strong performance in the tournament.
