Hamipur, March 29

With no money in hand and no work to do, Arun, Balkishan and Satish, working at private firms in Baddi, had no other option but to start nearly 350-km journey on foot to reach their native place in the Palampur subdivision of Kangra. They left Baddi on March 27 and reached here today.

They said their landlords had asked them to vacate the accommodation and their company was shut.

Balkishan said they had been waiting for their next month salary, but amid the lockdown, their future seemed uncertain.
