A total of 11 identified mining sites were put up for auction during the session and seven are auctioned at Rs 3.46 crore.
Om Kant Thakur said of the 11 mines approved by the auction, seven mines were allocated in favour of the highest bidders for a period of one year, with an advance security deposit of 25 percent, amounting to Rs 86.53 lakh. He added that all participants strictly followed the guidelines laid down for the transparent allocation of mineral resources.
Highlighting the importance of this process, Thakur emphasised that such auctions play a vital role in ensuring the proper utilisation of mineral resources while also boosting mineral production in the district. He said these transparent auctions would promote the growth of the mineral industry, strengthen the district’s economy and create new employment opportunities.
