Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan listens to public grievances in Shillai
On the first day of his two-day tour to Sirmaur district, Harshwardhan Chauhan, Minister of Industries, Parliamentary Affairs, Labour and Employment, demonstrated his commitment to public welfare by addressing the concerns of local residents in the Shillai constituency. The minister interacted with people at multiple locations, resolving most grievances on the spot and directing officials to address others promptly.

Stressing environmental responsibility, he directed that debris from road cutting be dumped only at designated sites and that any damages caused during the work be immediately repaired to minimise inconvenience to the public.
Chauhan’s informal interactions, including sitting at tea stalls and general stores to hear grievances, were lauded by the locals. Residents such as Ratan Singh Chauhan, Bhawan Singh Thakur and Jagat Sharma expressed admiration for the minister’s humility and dedication to the public service.
“This level of connect with the common people, despite holding a significant ministerial post, reflects his grounded nature and commitment to the welfare of Shillai’s residents,” they said. His long-standing rapport with the community is evident, as he was elected MLA for the sixth consecutive term.
