Chamba MLA Neeraj Nayar on Friday reaffirmed his commitment to the comprehensive and inclusive development of the constituency, stating that efforts were being made to ensure progress in all areas. He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the Nagela to Padruhi jeepable link road under the Backward Area Sub-Plan in Kidi Gram Panchayat today.

Emphasising the importance of better road connectivity, the MLA said approximately three kilometres of the jeepable road would be constructed between Nagela and Padruhi at an estimated cost of Rs 70 lakh. He acknowledged the crucial role of local residents in facilitating road connectivity by donating land for such projects.

Nayar instructed the executive engineer of the Public Works Department that in the future the names of land donors should be inscribed on the inauguration plaques to encourage more people to contribute to such vital initiatives. During the event, he also honoured six locals who donated land for the construction of the road.

Following the stone-laying ceremony, the MLA interacted with the locals, addressing their grievances. Several issues were resolved on the spot, while the remaining concerns were forwarded to the respective

authorities for action.
