Himachal Pradesh State Finance Commission Chairman and local MLA Nand Lal yesterday took stock of the ongoing relief and rehabilitation works at Samej village near Jhakri in Rampur.

He also took feedback from the affected families about the relief and rehabilitation work being carried out by the government. He encouraged the people engaged in relief and rehabilitation work, and assured to provide them more machinery or equipment if required.

SDM, Rampur, Nishant Tomar, gave detailed information about the relief and rehabilitation work being carried out by the administration to Nand Lal. Meanwhile, free gas connections were distributed by the administration to the affected families in the village. Sunil Mehta, inspector, Food Supplies Department, said the administration provided gas cylinders, pipes, regulators and stoves to 27 families in the flood-affected areas.
