The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Priyanshu Khati flagged off the Mobile Therapy Bus launched by the National Hydro Power Corporation’s (NHPC) Chamera-II project on Wednesday.

This mobile therapy bus, launched with the support of the Sanfia Foundation, is designed to offer free therapy services to specially-abled children in remote areas of the district.

During the launch, SDM Khati addressed the challenges faced by many specially-abled children in accessing therapy services. While some children benefit from facilities at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College, Chamba, others face difficulties due to limited accessibility.

Khati emphasised the introduction of the mobile therapy bus would help bridge this gap, bringing essential services to underserved communities and empowering specially-abled children across the district.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
