Ram Swaroop Sharma, BJP MP from Mandi, has countered the attack of BJP MLA Anil Sharma against Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.

The MP said the family of former Telecom Minister Sukh Ram had halted the development works in Mandi district. Anil Sharma also remained at key posts during the previous Congress regime as well as in the present BJP regime but did nothing for the people.

The MP said: “Sukh Ram and his son got an opportunity to serve the people of Mandi Sadar from 1962. Now, Anil is demanding two years more for the progress of his segment.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
