Anurag said that the ‘Dev’ circuit would help link various temples at Kaleshwar Mahadev, Jwalamukhi, Chintpurni and Baglamukhi. “The railway line on this route, which is visited by millions of devotees from across the country throughout the year, will also benefit thousands of students and teachers studying in many institutions like the NIT, IIIT, Medical College and the Central University of Himachal Pradesh,” he added.
He said, “I have been making efforts for sustainable railway development in the Hamirpur parliamentary constituency and on Tuesday, I along with the Kangra MP met the Union Railway Minister and requested him for a survey of a new railway line between Una and Kangra.” This railway line connecting the Hamirpur and Kangra parliamentary constituencies with the whole country would provide special benefits to students, pilgrims, traders, soldiers and tourists, he added.
Anurag said that as McLeodganj in Kangra district is the abode of Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, the railway line would help promote tourism. “The railway line will attract both domestic and international tourists and will immensely benefit the people of Himachal Pradesh by improving connectivity, accessibility and opening up vast economic possibilities,” he added.
