Music, dance & drama mark annual day at Rehan school

DAV Public School, Rehan, in neighbouring Fatehpur subdivision celebrated its annual day function with immense pomp and splendour on Tuesday. MLA and State Planning Commission Vice-Chairman Bhawani Singh Pathania presided over the function.

The programme began with a warm welcome to the chief guest, followed by a showcase of the Saraswati Vandana, and the DAV anthem. Students showcased their talent by presenting colourful cultural items.

The event featured mesmerising songs in Hindi, Punjabi, Dogri and Pahari.

Thought-provoking English plays on topics ranging from the importance of mothers to fundamental rights and duties were much loved by the audience.

A Hindi play on the principles of Arya Samaj received a rousing applause.

Principal Rashmi Jamwal presented the annual report of the school, providing a comprehensive overview of the school’s academic and extracurricular achievements.

The programme concluded on a high note with a lively Bhangra performance by the students of Class XII, which had the audience dancing in their seats.

Chief guest Bhawani Singh Pathania delivered an inspiring speech, offering valuable insights and advice to the students. He emphasised the importance of setting goals and working towards them with determination and perseverance, motivating students to strive for excellence in all aspects of life. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, presented by RK Ohri, vice-chairman of the school.
