Mutilated body of newborn found at Renuka ji

The body of a newborn was found in a mutilated condition at Renuka ji today. The arms, stomach and legs of the body were missing.
The Renuka ji police took the body into custody and sent it to Nahan Medical College for forensic examination and an autopsy. A resident of Jamun (Jarag) village today informed the police that the body of a newborn was lying in the courtyard of his house.
The police reached his house and took the body to a local hospital.
It is suspected that the newborn was buried at a nearby place and animals might have exhumed the body. Nahan Additional SP Yogesh Rolta said that a case had been registered under Section 318 of the IPC and a special forensic team had been formed for the post-mortem on the body. A probe was underway to identify the parents of the newborn.
