The Akhil Bharatiya Inter-Zonal Women Weightlifting Championship concluded at the SAI indoor stadium here on Friday.

In the 45-kg weight category, the first position was bagged by Garud Harshada from SPPU University, second by Apeksha Dhone, Shivaji University, and third by B Rajeshwari, a student of the ANU.

In the 49-kg category, Arati Tatgunti from Shivaji University came first, followed by Dalvi Soumya Sunil, University of Mumbai, and Lakshmi from Manglore University who came third.

In the 55-kg category, Ramandeep Kaur and Sneha Soren, belonging to Punjabi University Patiala and KIIT University, bagged the first and second position, respectively. Maniquam Sheitg from the University of Calicut came third.

In the 59-kg weight category, Usha from Chandigarh grabbed the first position, followed by Liza Kamsha of Yogi Vemana University and Balo Yalam of GK University.

Obtaining the first position in the 64-kg category, S Pallavi of Andhra University VSKP displayed her skills. The second and third position were secured by Jyoti Yadav and Sonali Yadu of MGKVP Varanasi and HYV Durg CG, respectively.
