Nauni university inks pact with Mahindra Summit

The agreement was formalized by Vice-Chancellor Prof Rajeshwar Singh Chandel and Mahindra Summit CEO Sandeep Gadre. The ceremony was attended by university statutory officers, department heads, and Mahindra Summit representatives, including Sagar Daroch, DGM (North and East India), and Lalit Kalia, Associate Field Biologist.
The collaboration aims to foster exchange of knowledge, expertise, and resources between the university and Mahindra Summit. It also paves the way for training and internship opportunities for students and researchers, giving them valuable hands-on experience and industry exposure in agribusiness.
Mahindra Summit, a leader in crop care, seed production, micro-irrigation, and agri-commodity exports, will support joint research initiatives, including doctoral research in frontier areas. The MoU also includes provisions for organising joint workshops, seminars, and conferences on topics of mutual interest.
The company has agreed to fund selected Ph.D. research projects and extend support through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Industry experts from Mahindra Summit will also be recognized as adjunct faculty at the university. Additionally, the university will facilitate testing of Mahindra’s machinery and products on campus as per norms.
The partnership includes commercialisation of jointly developed research outcomes and innovations. The MoU will remain valid for three years, with a provision for extension.
