In a significant step towards enhancing career opportunities, students of Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, recently participated in a series of campus placement initiatives conducted by leading industry recruiters.

Among the highlights was a recruitment drive by Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, targeting both undergraduate and postgraduate students. A total of 27 students took part in the online selection process, including 12 from the College of Horticulture and Forestry, Neri (Hamirpur district). The drive aimed to fill six positions for the roles of Area Manager and Community Facilitator. It offered students a valuable opportunity to engage directly with the recruitment procedures of a reputed pharmaceutical company and gain insights into industry expectations and standards.

In addition, students from the MBA (Agribusiness) programme appeared for virtual internship interviews conducted by Harvel Agua India Private Limited — a leading firm in water management and micro-irrigation solutions. Following a competitive evaluation, two students, Rahul and Mithika, were selected for internship roles. The positions come with a monthly stipend and additional benefits, providing the selected candidates with practical exposure to various aspects of the agribusiness sector, including operations, marketing and technology deployment.

The successful execution of the placement and internship drives was coordinated by the university’s placement team, comprising Dr Rashmi Chaudhary, Dr Abhimanyu, Dr Pramod Verma, Dr Kartikey Sahil, Dr Praveen Kumar and Dr Ajit Sharma.
