Navy veterans extend financial aid to flood-hit families of Mandi

The organisation comprises the retired personnel from the Artificers Cadre of the Indian Navy, who have always remained at the forefront of social service.
The association, led by president Umeshwar Dutt Sharma, has provided financial assistance to 16 affected families in the Janjheli area of Mandi district. On this occasion, members of the organisation — Mahesh Sharma, Sunil Patial, Deep Kumar, Tanuj Sharma and Ajay Thakur were also present.
Umeshwar Dutt Sharma said, “It was a responsibility of the organisation to stand with the affected families in this hour of crisis and this support is not only a financial help, but an effort to strengthen their morale.”
Him Artificers Association has been continuously active in the welfare of ex-servicemen. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the association provided oximeters, sanitizers and masks to the needy and contributed Rs 25 lakh to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.
