Revenue, Horticulture and Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi held a meeting with the officials of the District Disaster Management Authority at the ITDP conference hall in Kinnaur district today. He reviewed the preparedness for the monsoon season in the tribal district and called for better coordination among various departments.

The Revenue Minister directed the district administration to deploy adequate machinery and workers in sensitive areas such as Nigulsari, Pangi Nala, Pagal Nala and Maling Nala. This is to ensure immediate action during emergencies and to provide prompt relief to the residents.

The Cabinet Minister held detailed discussions with the officials and instructed the police and the ITBP to keep the rapid response teams ready at all times in case of any exigency. To ensure swift relief operations during potential disasters in the monsoon season, Negi passed necessary directions to the authorities concerned.

Kinnaur Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Sharma conducted the proceedings of the meeting and presented a detailed report on the measures taken by the district administration for disaster management.

The meeting was attended by Kalpa SDM Shashank Gupta, Assistant Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police Naveen Jalta, Divisional Forest Officer Arvind Kumar, Chief Medical Officer Dr Sonam Negi, Moorang Tehsildar Vikramjit Singh, and other officials.
