Education is the most precious gift that can be given to a person, said Education Minister Govind Thakur who was the chief guest at a programme Mission Educate India — Eradicate Illiteracy organized by Indorama Charitable Trust.

The charitable trust is supporting needy and vulnerable 150 children from Himachal spread in seven districts for quality education up to

class XII. The support amounts to 32 lakhs per year.

Thakur said that 24.3 per cent of the dropout students are girls and this institution is supporting girl students more. This kind of a step taken by a trust to uplift the society can change the future of the children from vulnerable families.

He said that the new education policy will also change the face of the nation and the people will be greatly benefited from this policy. India was working seriously on the educational sector as education paves way for a stronger nation.
