A 22-year-old Nepalese man has allegedly committed suicide in Shimla by hanging himself from a tree.

According to reports, the body of Ganga Ram, who used to work as a pick-up truck driver in Shimla, was found hanging from a tree with a rope tied around his neck in Summerhill.

The police reached the spot as soon as it received the information and took his body to Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) Shimla for the post-mortem examination.

Shimla Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rattan Negi confirmed the report and said further investigation was underway.
