The Nerchowk-Pandoh road will be closed for two hours daily in Mandi district until March 31 due to cutting and blasting activities for the ongoing widening of the Kiratpur-Manali four-lane highway. The road will remain closed at designated spots during these hours.

Deputy Commissioner, Mandi, Apoorv Devgan issued the orders in response to a request from the Project Director of the highway project, Mandi.

"To ensure the safety of people and vehicles, the road will be closed everyday from 11 am to 12 noon and again from 2 pm to 3 pm until March 31. During these periods, the construction work will be carried out around the 4 Mile area," he adddd.

Devgan said that the work to widen the Nerchowk-Pandoh stretch of the National Highway-21, particularly in the 4 Mile area, required road closure for safety during cutting and blasting operations.
