Dr Sharma stated that the road was closed due to ongoing risks posed by continuous shooting stones. The persistent threat of falling debris has raised serious safety concerns for commuters, passengers and visitors traveling through the area. The DC, by exercising powers under Sections 115 and 116 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, stated that public safety was the primary concern behind the decision.
