As many as 23 persons, including nine police personnel, tested positive for coronavirus in Hamirpur district on Thursday while an assistant professor of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) died at the PGI, Chandigarh, of Covid. Dr Archana Soni, Chief Medical Officer, said that the infected police personnel included a 30-year-old woman.

Priya Darshi Viplove Kumar, an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at the NIT, died at the PGI, Chandigarh, and his sample came out positive after death. He had returned from Orissa a few days ago and was unwell.
