Baddi SP Rohit Malpani said he visited a wedding venue at Suraj Majra village where about 325 people had assembled and none was wearing a mask. Officials witnessed similar violations at other weddings at Karuana and Manpura villages.

“Three cases have been registered against the organisers of marriages at Swaraj Majra, Karuana and Manpura villages,” the SP said.

Action was also being taken against the organisers of a sit-in protest at Chowkiwala Chowk on the Dherowal and Dabhota road where about 1,200 people had pitched a tent on the road and disrupted traffic movement from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm yesterday. The common man was inconvenienced due to this act by the agitators. They raised slogans against the government. Nalagarh MLA Lakhwinder Rana also participated in the protest.
