The oath taking ceremony for the new College Student Central Association (CSCA) of Government Arya College, Nurpur, for the 2024-25 academic session was organised on the college campus on Friday.

Payal will hold office as the association president, Neha the vice-president, Aniket the secretary, and Kanika the joint secretary.

Prof Sanjay Jasrotia administered the oath of office to 13 members of the CSCA.

Among the elected members of National Service Scheme (NSS), Rajat Kumar and Kashish Pathania were administered the oath of office and secrecy by Prof Anil Kumar. Professor Alka administered the oath to Kumari Aarushi and Poonam Chaudhary for Eco Club.

Professor Shashi Bala administered the oath to Munish Kumar and Kumari Mehak for participation in cultural activities.

Professor Manjit Singh administered the oath to Rohit Baloria and Kumari Sunita Devi for the sports category, and Reema Kumari administered the oath to Shivalika under Rover Ranger unit. Professor Sohan Kumar administered the oath to Ajit Kumar.

Professor Kiran Bala administered the oath to Kanika Rana and Manpreet Kaur as members of the energy group.

Later, Principal Anil Kumar Thakur greeted the office-bearers and said it was now the responsibility of the CSCA to guide students. “Leadership means guiding other students and showing them the right path,” he said.

He hoped that the newly elected SCA would discharge its duties in the best possible manner. Elected president Payal also addressed the gathering and thanked the principal being a source of inspiration and encouragement.
