Bali said many staff nurses who were recruited on outsourcing basis by state government during the pandemic had met him. They were alleging that the contractors through whom they were hired were not giving their payments in time. It was a sad state of affairs that the Covid warriors were being harassed and not being paid salary on time, he said.

Bali further said that he had written to CM Jai Ram Thakur that the salary of nurses should be released on time. The state government should also formulate a policy for recruiting these nurses on permanent basis as they had served the society in difficult times, he said. — TNS
