Dr Verma informed the students that individuals can choose to donate single or multiple organs such as the kidney, liver, heart, heart valves, lungs, pancreas and eyes and even pledge for whole body donation. “Organ donation is one of the noblest acts of humanity. A single donor can save multiple lives and gift someone a healthy future,” he said.

Naresh Kumar, the state convener of SOTTO, elaborated on the organisation’s objectives and the importance of raising awareness about organ donation across educational institutions and communities.

Jagdish Gautam, chairman of Gautam Group of Colleges, expressed his support for SOTTO’s initiatives and assured that the college would continue to organise similar welfare programmes. “Such awareness drives are vital in shaping compassionate healthcare professionals of tomorrow,” he added.
