A tourist from Odisha died in Manali yesterday.

According to information, Chandan Mahanto (21) from Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district had come to Manali with his friends on February 23. His health deteriorated on Sunday night and was rushed to a hospital for treatment, where he was declared dead.

The post-mortem was conducted today in Manali. The police said the body was handed over to his friend Sunil after talking to the family members of the deceased over phone. Prima facie, the cause of death of the youth is believed to be cardiac arrest due to hypothermia. The exact cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report.
