A paragliding accident occurred near the Garsa landing site in Kullu yesterday, resulting in the death of a tourist and injuries to the pilot. The incident happened around 4 pm when the paraglider, flying at an altitude of about 100ft, crashed. The tourist, Jayash Ram (28) of Tamil Nadu succumbed to his injuries. Pilot Ashwani Kumar sustained serious injuries.

Ashwani Kumar (27) from Garsa in Kullu was referred to PGI-Chandigarh for treatment. The body of the deceased was sent to the Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College in Nerchowk for post-mortem. Kullu SP Karthikeyan Gokulachandran said an FIR has been filed under Section 125 and 106 of the BNS at the Bhuntar police station.
