One killed in Theog accident

One person was killed after a car he was travelling plunged into a deep gorge in Theog subdivision, the police said on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Vinod Kumar, a resident of Bhog village in Kotkhai tehsil. The accident took place on Tuesday night when he was on his way to Kotkhai from Theog and lost control of his vehicle near Court Colony due to which it skidded into a deep gorge. He died on the spot. The accident was noticed by local residents who informed the police. A police team reached the spot and took out the body from the gorge with the assistance of locals. The body was then taken to nearby hospital for postmortem.
