One killed, six injured in LPG explosion

A tragic incident occurred in Ukhali village where a migrant labourer from Moradabad district, Uttar Pradesh, lost his life in an LPG cylinder explosion. The blast took place while the labourers were cooking meals in a room of the Jal Shakti Department’s pump house, where they had been staying since their arrival the previous evening.

According to Rajesh Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police, seven labourers were present at the site when the explosion happened. Six managed to escape with injuries, but one was caught in the blast and died on the spot.

The deceased had come to work through a contractor hired by the Jal Shakti Department. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. The body of the deceased will be handed over to his family after the postmortem is completed. Authorities are examining the cause of the explosion and ensuring safety measures are reviewed.
