One killed, two injured in Sirmaur mishap

A tipper plunged into a deep gorge in the Badag mining area of Sangrah sub-division in Sirmaur district. The accident left one person dead and two others injured.

According to reports, the tipper (HP 71-4447) was transporting stones to the Bhutmadhi lime mine when the driver lost control near Kolwa, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and fall into the gorge. The deceased has been identified as Ranjeet Singh, more famous among people as Gyani Mistri. The injured include the driver, Sanjeev Kumar, and another passenger, Arjun Singh. Both were rushed to Nahan Medical College for further treatment.

Sangrah DSP Mukesh Dadwal said that an investigation into the cause of the accident was being done.
