The service is operated under the UDAN 2 scheme.

Kullu airport director Neeraj Kumar Srivastava said that Pawan Hans Ltd started the helicopter service to Kullu today after following various norms related to Covid-19.

The air passengers would have to fill a form before entering the Bhuntar airport — they would have to provide the details about their previous journeys and their health condition.

A Health Department team would medically examine the passengers at the airport before allowing them to board the flight.

The flight would operate in the Shimla-Kullu sector on Monday, Friday and Saturday. The flight would operate on the Chandigarh-Shimla-Kullu route and would return through the same route.
