Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla said at Bilaspur today that ‘Operation Sindoor’ launched by Indian armed forces was a matter of pride for the nation. He added that the Indian Army had given a befitting reply to the terrorists responsible for the recent brutal killing of innocent civilians at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Governor said, “We are proud of our armed forces. It is commendable that the Indian Army executed this operation successfully by targeting terror launchpads across the border without causing harm to any innocent civilians.”

The Governor said that ‘Operation Sindoor’ was not just a military response, but a symbol of India’s sovereignty, growing strength and unwavering commitment to fighting terrorism. He added that it was a proud moment for the entire country.

Earlier, Shukla participated in the virtual inauguration of Bhim Setu constructed in Lahaul and Spiti district by the Border Roads Organisation. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the bridge.
