Palampur MLA inaugurates sub-tehsil office

Local MLA Ashish Butail today inaugurated a new sub-tehsil office at Chahiana village, 15 km from here. Speaking on the occasion, he said the state government had recently sanctioned the sub-tehsil.

He said residents of Chahiana, Nagri, Gopalpur and Jia areas will not have to go to Palampur for the redressal of revenue matters. Sale deeds of land would be registered in the office regularly. Besides, matters pertaining to land disputes would also be settled here.

Butail said all important roads of the constituency would be upgraded. Besides, the left-out villages would be connected with new roads. He said special stress had been laid on the strengthening health services in the area. Most of the vacant posts of doctors in Palampur and Gopalpur Civil Hospitals had already been filled up.

Butail said efforts were being made to make a cow sanctuary at Nagri functional so that stray animal menace could be checked and crops of farmers saved.
