Palampur school marks 100 years of its inception
St Paul Senior Secondary School, Palampur, one of the oldest schools in the town, has completed 100 years of its inception.
The school was established in 1923 by Canadian missionaries. FS Ford was the founder principal of the school. It became a full-fledged high school in 1935, and was later converted into a co-educational school in 1967.
Addressing mediapersons here today, principal Virender Pal Singh said, “It is a monumental occasion, a testament to our enduring commitment for providing a transformative learning environment that nurtures young minds, fosters character development, and ignites a lifelong love for learning.”
“As we embark on the next century of educational excellence, we remain steadfast in our commitment to nurturing young minds, promoting inclusivity, and fostering a passion for lifelong learning. The school will continue to be a place where students are empowered to explore their talents, pursue their dreams, and make a positive impact on society,” the principal added.
He appealed to the alumni and former teachers of the school to join them in the commemoration of the milestone.
The school is a flagship institution of the Diocese of Amritsar, headed by Bishop Rt Rev PK Samantaroy.
