CSK HP Agriculture University (HPAU) Vice-Chancellor DK Vatsa congratulated the Head of Farmer Science Centres (KVK), Sirmaur, for receiving the ‘Outstanding Natural Farming Krishi Vigyan Kendra’ (KVK) award during the progress review-cum-awareness workshop on “Out Scaling of Natural Farming through KVK”, held recently at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST).

The VC said the team of scientists at KVK was meticulously working to promote natural farming among the farming community of the district through awareness programmes, training events and method demonstrations.

SKUAST Vice-Chancellor Nazir Ah Ganai, as the chief guest at the event, presented the award to KVK Head Pankaj Mittal and Natural Farming Nodal Officer Shiwali Dhiman during the concluding event of the workshop at Srinagar.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
