Local Congress leader Vinay Hetta expressed confidence that the Nangaldevi paragliding site would put Theog on the world map and attract international tourists. He announced plans to organise international-level paragliding events in collaboration with the government and the Tourism Department, which would boost the local economy. The unique wind patterns, takeoff spot and the landing point of the site make it an ideal location for paragliding.

The company operating the site has assured people that safety standards will be strictly followed and the experience will be thrilling and memorable for adventure enthusiasts. “All safety standards will be followed to ensure the safety of the adventure enthusiasts. There will be no flights during bad weather,” said Kaku Thakur, head of Explore Expert Adventure 123 company.

The introduction of paragliding in Theog is expected to generate employment opportunities for the local youth and promote tourism in the area.
