Ravinder Kumar of Bhojnagar tehsil in Parwanoo got a ransom call for Rs 5 lakh on his WhatsApp number yesterday. The caller identified himself as a member of the Rahul Bishnoi gang.

Ravinder operates a sand and cut stone plant on the Solan bypass. The Parwanoo police have included two cellphone numbers mentioned by him in the FIR. A case has been registered and efforts are being being made to obtain cellphone details, said the police.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
