Former Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) Rakesh Pathania today slammed the state government over the decision to hand over 14 properties of the corporation to private players . Pathania, while addressing a press conference, said that the BJP would oppose the government’s decision to “sell” the HPTDC properties. He claimed that most of these properties comprising hotels and cafes were prime and heritage properties in the public sector tourism industry in the state.

Pathania alleged that handing over these prime properties to private players was an anti-employee decision and reflected the bad intentions of the state government. “The BJP will oppose and thwart such attempts of the government. Instead of strengthening tourism infrastructure, the government is selling its properties,” he said.
