The 1989-batch IFS officer Pawnesh Kumar has been appointed Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Head of Forest Force), Himachal, with immediate effect.

The state government has issued a notification regarding Pawnesh’s appointment.

As per the notification, the Governor has appointed him on the post on the recommendations of the Special Selection Committee.

He has served the state in all wings of the department such as Territorial, Wildlife, EAPs and Van Nigam. He is at present the Managing Director of the Van Nigam.
