The Kangra District Police have arrested a 31-year-old man and recovered 6.97 grams of ‘chitta’ (heroin) from his possession.

Vishal Kumar, a resident of Baijnath, was arrested by a special police team near Hotel Villa Camilla in Palampur following a tip-off. Kangra SP Ashok Rattan stated that Vishal had been under surveillance for a long time due to his suspected involvement in the illegal drug trade. He was intercepted while carrying the consignment. A case has been registered against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
