The DC encouraged the representatives from various blocks of the district present at the ceremony to support the ongoing campaign for the intellectual development of children and youth in the district by promoting libraries. He urged the members to engage with youth by sharing wisdom from texts such as the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Vedas and other ancient scriptures, helping them choose the right path to face life’s challenges. He called for collective efforts to guide the younger generation by involving local SDMs and organising discussions.

As part of the ceremony, the DC was honoured with a cap, shawl and a memento by association’s president Harish Sharma and secretary Roshan Lal Kapoor. Harish Sharma welcomed the guests and explained that the Himachal Pradesh Pensioners Welfare Association regularly organises such events to recognise and appreciate the contributions of pensioners in society.
