Penstock at Uhal Project-3 burst in Jogindernagar on Saturday evening, official sources said.

The 100m MV hydroelectric power project was in the testing phase.

Penstock is a pipe to takes water to a hydrostation. The incident caused flooding in the premises of the project, trapping 30 people on the property.

They have been brought back to safety. No human lives were lost, Jogindernagar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Amit Mehra said.
